Plate by Plate 2017 Ticket Giveaway
[UPDATE 2017-07-21: Thanks for playing everyone. I reviewed each post in detail, and I've posted my comments below. We had some pretty creative entries, but unfortunately quite a few people didn't completely follow the directions. Congrats to winner Bryan Liem! And remember, even if you didn't win, you can still get $25 off a ticket using the code PBP25KEVINEATS.]
On the evening of Saturday, August 5th, Project by Project will be hosting its 15th annual tasting benefit, Plate by Plate. PbP is a national 501(c)(3) non-profit centered around issues relating to the Asian-American community, and is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. As always, the tasting will showcase the talents of some of LA's top restaurants, as well as beverages from a variety of leading purveyors. After a successful event at the California Science Center in 2016, this year's benefit will be returning to the venue. To get an idea of what Plate by Plate is like, be sure to check out my report from last year's event. Here's a list of who's coming so far (subject to change, of course):
Tickets are currently on sale (protip: use the code "PBP25KEVINEATS" to get a $25 discount). However, I'm also giving away a pair of GA tickets, a $300 value. To win, here's what needs to go down:

Mendel Lin
- Pretty much copied my example text verbatim
- Twitter account was last active in June 2016 and is largely used for contests like this
Sharlene Lee
+ Put a personalized touch in the text
Ray Yuvienco
- Twitter account seems to exist largely for retweeting for contests
- Tweet was written as a reply, so it won't appear on a person's main feed
Tony Lu
+ Relatively creative text in entry
kevin diec
- Twitter account seems to exist solely for contests
- Tweet was written as a reply, so it won't appear on a person's main feed
- Pretty much copied my example text verbatim
David Park
- Not a valid entry since I can't see the post
Bryan Liem
+ Wrote a very personalized entry
+ Utilized a very appropriate graphic
Karing Yuvienco
- Used a graphic from San Francisco's Plate by Plate event
Michael Cohen
- Not a valid entry since Project by Project's FB page wasn't tagged (which is unfortunate, since this was otherwise a very strong contender)
+ Unexpected and humorous photo/text utilized; I want M&M's with my face on 'em
Jeffrey Yoo
- Come on Jeff, you could've been *a bit* more original; take a look at some of the other entries!
Lindsey Knowles
+ Innovative and amusing photo paired with appropriate text; I lol'd
- Link to www.platebyplate.org was missing "/la/" at the end (you were so close Lindsey!)
Jennifer Quan
- Not a valid entry since submitted slightly after the deadline (a shame, since I really liked this entry--why did you wait until the last minute Jen?)
+ Post had cute/funny/unique photo and text; it made me chuckle
The website is looking bit flashy and it catches the visitors eyes. Design is pretty simple and a good user friendly interface. red plate set
